January again…that time of year when so many of us reflect on the past year and make resolutions for the new one ahead. Eat better, exercise more, spend more time with family and friends, whatever it is you are trying to accomplish in your personal goals we wish you the very best luck at it. A journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step!

Here at STG we have been doing the same. Back in 2015 we set some ambitious plans for our firm in 2016 and looking back at it now we are very proud to see that we accomplished all of them! We knew the year would be a pivotal one in our new strategy for growth. We hired more staff, we moved into new office space with room to grow, we started 3 new practice lines and we implemented a series of new tools and processes that make the business of our business easier and more modern for our clients, our consultants and our staff. All the while continuing to provide the exceptional consulting services our clients have grown to rely on us for on 6 continents. Still no plans on tackling Antarctica though…

So what is ahead for us in 2017? First of all, we are pushing the needle and setting even more ambitious goals for the year. We are going to refresh our social media presence again and continue our Business Beat and Focus On series as well as publishing fresh and relevant content about topics in the HCM space that we think are relevant and you want to hear about. We’d be happy to hear from you about this and any other topics you would like to hear about!

We are planning on expanding our worldwide consulting base considerably. Think double. That’s a lot of new people and projects, but we feel confident that our HCM, OCM and of course global payroll practices are poised and ready for this growth. Your trust in us for your projects, your word of mouth referrals and our own marketing strategies have really helped to bolster the core values of our firm. We believe in the right resource, in the right place, for the right amount of time at a fair price. We have many stories from 2016 to tell about this success and appreciate your business!

2017 will also bring a big focus on our partnerships. This past year we have partnered with some of the globe’s leading organizations to assist clients with specific challenges around the HCM space. Whether it’s moving money around the world, saving money on payroll costs or just continuing to provide the industry expertise you need we believe these partnerships are core to our growth strategies and have selected them carefully with the end clients best interests in mind. Be on the lookout for more exciting news about that, but you can also always check out the offerings at our website.

Lastly, we plan on continuing to give back. We volunteer and support numerous local and nationally known charities here at STG and we take them very seriously. This is maybe one of the best resolutions all us of could make. In a world where there is so much available to us all it’s important to keep those in need on our minds and give back when, where and how we can. It’s my sincerest wish that 2017 is the best year yet for each and everyone of you and good luck with achieving your goals! We may not be able to remind you to get on the treadmill each morning, but if you need help around the globe with your business we have you covered!
